Spreading the word…

Portable UCDIT Logo copy

A lot of things have changed since this charity was set up 15 years ago, there have been several versions of Windows operating systems, many instances of the Apple Mac cats (Leopard, Panther and Lion), screen readers, magnifiers and many other accessibility aids and yet, according to the Office for National Statistics, in 2012  3.80 million disabled adults had never used the Internet.

This blog is our chance to talk about the work we do, the people we meet, hopefully a chance for some of them to show off the skills we have taught them and contribute their thoughts, anecdotes, advice and maybe even some laughs to the mix. Mainly we hope to remind people why we are still reaching out to people with disabilities.
